I have 13.9 at idle now and 15.3 at cruise. If I adjust the idle to 14.7 that will lean out the cruise. That means I need to drop down in size with the main rods.

Which means yer idle is gonna get richer. When the primary rod is smaller more fuel will flow between the rod and jet at cruse and idle. The rods are the in the same position during cruse and idle because the vacuum is relatively the same.The difference is the air between both. I was just suggesting if yer too rich at idle to open the idle air bleeds up some. You must not know how the quadrajet works.
