walmart did the same sh*t to my moms cavi, then acted like it didnt happen. just another example of why i will always say **** walmart.

Yea, honestly if the guy who broke my wheel cover would have just said hey man I broke this, this is how I broke it I probably would of just said not a problem don't worry about it. Instead he got all defensive when I politely asked him how he broke it. He told me he couldn't find me but he was going to tell me. Oh so thats why you shoved the broken plastic lug nut cover in the wheel cover and tried covering it up. It is just a truck. I am not over protective of my vehicles. I let people drive them, I let people flog them a little too. I really don't care. sh*t happens and I have worked in tire and oil shops before. I have broke sh*t on accident before. I always fessed up and told the customer and sometimes they said dont worry about it, other times they were pissed. Either way I was man enough to admit what I did and I expect others to do the same.

Opening up the walmart can of worms though haha. Never will I take anything there again, ever. My local walmart has some of the most untrained and dishonest people working in the automotive section. Every time I took something in there it came out with a broken part. I started just putting my car on stands in the drive way and carried the wheels in when I needed tires. They would find a way to screw that up too. :blam:

But you can't expect much for what they pay them. I expect integrity that is it. They can make mistakes just damn, fess up.

Sounds like Discount tire here in Phoenix,They stripped 3 studs on my wifes car and never told anyone about it, She drove around for two days with only 2 lug nuts holding the left ft wheel on.We only found it because she felt a shudder while braking. We were lucky the the wheel didn't come off and get someone hurt or killed. :blam:

i think those 2 techs should be fired on the spot and have to pay for that clutch and pressure plate out of there own pocket! imo

I would not of been able to contain myself on something like that. That is an enormous safety issue. A wheel coming off at speed can be deadly. You're wife could of been horribly hurt and all it would of taken to save her was someone to fess up to what they did. Honestly, stripping out studs is easy to see and easy to know something is wrong. I've done it on some of my older vehicles. It also is common so why not say anything about it and potentially save a persons life?

They made it right, But I had to chew several asses off untill I got a hold of the Vice President of sales.
They finally agreed to pay me for the repairs to our car and Gave us two new tires for our trouble. :x
The bottom line is that it should have never happened , If they would have told me that there was a problem with the Studs
I could handle that. No Biggie , But when they let a unsafe car drive out of that shop and did not mention anything was wrong, Is just screwed up. :wtf:

Video has been removed by the user. I can only speculate why.

Perhaps the dealership worked something out with GM and the customer and had the customer agree to remove the video to get proper compensation. If you ask me, whatever it was, it wasn't enough -- it the shop's still operating. So that the S.C. Dealership I say, **** YOU here's another copy:

Now several years ago, I believe in 2001, I had taken my 1984 Grand Prix into a place called ATI Transmission (website http://www.atiracing.com/, a highly acclaimed racing transmission shop) to have a shift kit put in my 200 4R transmission. I came back to the shop un-announced to find the ****ing clerk doing donuts in the parking lot with my car! No joke. When I took the car home after a ruckus I raised with the shop owner, the battery caught fire, because whatever they did, they left the main power wire touching my exhaust so that it heated up. I took pictures with a friend's camera at the time, but never got anywhere with that. :blam:

Yea there needs to be some type of stricter guidelines. I hate getting government involved in business but maybe it is time for local government to step in. If you're caught abusing a customers ride X happens. I dunno what but something haha. To me vehicles are just an object. I enjoy them, but I am not a nobody drives my car but me kinda guy or flip out if somebody dings a door into it. sh*t happens. The outright abuse of somebodies property that they worked hard to buy makes me want to go on an *ss beating spree though. Beating on someones car without their permission is just as bad as taking a baseball bat to it.

Same crap happened to me but the company around here was AAMCO Transmissions... I took it after i had replaced my 305 with a 350 and a CZF Code 2004r trans. I dropped it off at the shop and began explaining to the shop manager "who looked like he just got out of prison" and claimed his shop were so called experts... I asket to see if they could adjust the shift points seeing as how i was running a Edelbrock Carb and tv bracket and i couldn't get it to shift right. I actually was sitting in the waiting room to get a quote on the repairs and all i heard was my GP starting up and redlining down the street not once, twice, or even three times but a couple more after that!! You could hear the engine screaming down the street!! Once his "expert" tech came back and told him i needed a new trans and with a quote of $2500 bucks i said "let me think about it" and quickly took my keys back and never turned back!!! Really the ony thing that pissed me off was them having to redline the crap out of my 30k mile crate motor... :wtf: worse part the stupid b*st*rd thought he knew what he was talking about!! I actually mentioned czf code, brf, etc etc and he tried selling me a th700r4!! and claimed it was the best trans for my ride. Thankfully they went out of business!!! :blam:

every time I get lazy and have brought my car to a shop I usually end up thanking them for reminding me why I don't bring my car to a shop...and then kick myself for getting lazy
