I looked for a 1978 Malibu for a couple years but really couldn’t find one close enough and in good enough shape for the asking price. A few years ago I found this 1979 Malibu on offer up. Definitely close enough to go look at. It is optioned quite well and after talking with the seller, I knew I would be buying it if we could get the price right. It had a destroyed transmission and a worn out engine but I knew those things would be changing anyway. I showed up with cash and a trailer, we got the price right and loaded it up. He knew I was a serious buyer but wanted to be assured the car would not be cut up into a drag car. It is now a nice driver/toy with a BluePrint 383/TH400, new steering and suspension, a bit of some interior work and several other things to make it mine. I’m thankful I have the car to begin with let alone the things I’ve done to it. Without the support of my wife and friends it wouldn’t have been possible. Our cars are never done and mine is no exception. Still a long way to go.
Vote for me and your wildest dreams will come true.
