I was able to remove the rear glass without any damage. It seems to me that it had been replaced not that long ago. The window sealant was still really soft and pliable where as the front windshield was all hard as a rock.

The side windows were already removed when I purchased the car. I have them stored away until needed.

Thanks

Matt

nice! I really need to build a Malibu! subscribed!

I finally got some time to get back on the project this weekend. I bought a 2002 GMC Sierra 4x4 as a donor truck for the 5.3L LM7, PCM, wiring harness and all accessories. I just finished parting it out and disposing of what I couldn't sell. All said and done, I have I spent $170 for the parts I needed, everything else I sold covered the remainder of the purchase price of the truck.

I got the body removed from the frame and the frame on stands ready to tear apart down to the bare shell.

It is very clean and rust free as it was blasted and painted by the previous owner who also did the mini tub and frame reinforcement. Overall I am happy with the work, but I plan to spend a lot more hours cleaning up welds, grinding and doing some more welding to get it to the point where I am happy.

Looking good Matt. Nice to see you making a bit of headway on it.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but your frame seems to have tweaked a little, probably from the welding..

Lol
I've seen his frame in person, and I can assure you, it's straight as an arrow. I'm not sure what kind of camera lens he used for that pic, but it definitely looks canoe-ish...
😕
