I am going to pull the heat/AC unit off my firewall and block it off because none of it has worked for several years. Do i really have to take the fender off to get it out without destroying everything?

No, you don't need to take the fender off, but you will probably have to drop the wheel well/inner fender in order to get to the bottom fasteners on the heater box.

The headers melted my cars a/c housing so i just kind of smashed it out . I made a cover for my Grand Prix but there is a company out here in Colorado that makes a slick a/c delete plate that allows you to retain the heater core and keeping it functional.I'm going to get one as soon as funds are available. It leaves plenty of room for headers i think  the Website is a/cdelete.com. Just some info

Haha, there is always that way too! I've seen that site and they allow you to reuse all the components from your old a/c box, but seems like an aweful lot of work. That master kit on the otherhand is priced high enough to make it the same as finding a complete factory set up. I haven't seen one in person yet to get a good look at it.

heater

the name of the company is american graffiti, i bought and installed one two years ago...i think it cost about 150.00..

you have to drop your inner fender and pull your dash to install it may be to much trouble for you to do it now,you also have to do some trimming to make it fit.

i modified my dash so i didn't mind pulling my dash out...you can reach them at...www.americangraffitti.biz

here's a picture of it installed
