Re: Desert Eagle 84 El Camino

Not gonna lie to ya, really likin the new changes. Having an ls engine for 11 years now, can't call that a bad choice for anyone. My first car (v-8 Monza) was silver, feeling you on that one too. All the smoothing changes to me are more fitting to a custom vehicle in my opinion. I have a fiberglass tailgate skin with the boxed in plate area, definitely an improvement. The gas cap choice has me thinkin about doing that instead of just moving it to the inside of the bed.

The brown to me was too much of a plain stock look for a custom. As far as being crazy for doing things all over again , join the club. In 20 years, I've had 3 different engines & transmissions, 3 different noses, & now e different rear bumpers among other changes.

No true hot rod is ever really finished. Can't wait to see yours finished------- or not.

Thanks! I agree, i'll never be done with any of my rides. And It doesn't help that i'm going to SEMA for the first time this year. I'm bound to find a new product or two that i'll be incorporating into this build . The gas cap was a "last minute" idea that I wasn't too sure about, but after seeing it installed i'm glad I picked it up. It is a very high quality piece.

NOW THIS IS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT! AMAZING!

Thanks big Bro, most of the awesomeness came from your garage. I appreciate all that you have done/contributed to this build and the Brown Sugar build

Are you considering a mirror swap while you're at it?

Thought about it, also had considered shaving them off completely but with the shaved marker lights and mirror i'd probably get the attention of many cops lol. At this point the mirrors on the car don't bother me but i'm sure if I came across a set that "wow'ed" me i'd get em. My painter wouldn't be to happy about it though lol.
