Well, we get the daily rains in the latter part of the day--sometimes, and a breeze is present much of the time. I have been doing bodywork on and off today, and I quit at around 10am the first time. I don't have the endurance to do all of the blocking like I used to, so I have to take it in steps. I am doing the roof right now, and it is the most horrible body panel I have ever had the misfortune to work on! It has almost no crown, so it pops in and out and will not hold it's shape. I have a 2 foot long Dura-Block which works a lot better than the paint mixing stick and long board I had used previously. Even still, I will probably spend 10 hours total on straightening it.

The roof was by far, the most PITA thing to work on. I had to grind mine down from all the rust that was there. It took forever. Wet sanding was bad, but not nearly as getting down to the metal.

I have spent so much time on the roof it is ridiculous. I have now decided the filler is good enough to prime, then hopefully block it one more time. That's the top surface ( the damn pizza sign did it's share of damage years ago). The sides were rusty too, and they required patch metal. I finished my welds, and am now finishing the filler work. That should be done tomorrow, then I just have to fill the drip rails again. I decided not to use seam sealer this time, since it shriveled up within a few years when I did it last time. This time, it's all gonna be JB weld! I already epoxied the trunk jamb seams with it to fix the horror of seam sealer from last time, and it seems to have done very well. Expensive, but then again, paint jobs are time consuming and expensive. I would rather spend it now than re-do it later.
