Anyone here own a Dodge Challanger... I'm thinking about getting one next year or sooner any advice with them.

Re: Dodge Challanger???

I don't own one but have driven a few. They felt heavy and visibility was poor out the sides and back. The owners said they were fast but thirsty.

I took one for a test drive they seem to have a really bad blind spot ... No modern car seems as easy to drive as the Cutlass it seems. The Cutlass just floats around with no effort dose anyone else feel like there Gbody is the easyiest car to drive?

Re: Dodge Challanger???

They're cool I guess, but damn why not put a nice v8 in that beautiful cutlass of yours instead & buy a cheap good on gas car while you work on it?? New challengers aren't cheap either unless u hit the lotto or something? Lol. Yeah ik what u mean, gbody's just float down the highway, love 'em.

Visibility is fantastic out of a Gbody. Especially compared to the 2-door G6 my mom just got. Dear god...

Well .. I guess I should drop in a v8 into the Cutlass but I want it to compete with modern sports cars.. so I dont get fooled around with at lights

I want to put atleast a 500 hp and about 500 foot pounds torque... 😀

Re: Dodge Challanger???

I have raced several Chargers and Challengers and I beat every one of them. At the 2011 Muscle Car Evolution track day a group of Charger/Challenger owners had two staging lanes to their selves and raced each other. I only saw two cars that ran faster times than I run with my Cutlass. I have about $15,000 into my car, how much is a Charger/Challenger (just like all the other Chargers/Challengers) cost?

I would build a nice 455 Olds for it with a stroker crank and some aluminum heads and keep the car as stock looking as possible. Get a trans and rearend that can handle the power and throw some drag radials on your stock rims and freak everyone out at the stoplights.
As much as I like some of the new "muscle cars" besides the high price tag I don't like the fact that someone else can go and buy the exact same car and pull up next to you at a stoplight. This is a little less likely when I drive my Monte.

Re: Dodge Challanger???

YeaI test drove one once and the blind spots are bad. And yes would suck the gas quick. But then again what dodge doesn't, even my nephews neon is bad on gas.

Really? Mine gets 35-40mpg on the freeway. Something's wrong with your nephew's car.
