Does anyone know how many splines

I have a 87 buick regal limited and im bout to order 3.73 gears and the posi carrier for a 7.5 10 bolt rear end. On the describtion it says it is for a 28 spline does any one know how many splines the regal have. I know right now i have the low 2.xx in the rear end. or does the spline count matter when buying gears and carrier

Your stock axles are 26 spline. Now is a great time to upgrade...

so if i use this carrier it wont work with my axels? and i plan on upgradeing not just now, i trying to knock this out cause i got other things to pay for, im just trying to get by for now until i get axles
