Dont buy a kia

Any little car if it gets hit by a big car you're in trouble doesn't matter if it's a Kia, Hyundai, Ford, Chevy... But I can say that when I had my wreck I'm very very glad I was in my moms 2010 Ford with airbags out the *ss, working seat belts, and some semblance of safety compared to my junky *ss Regal. If I wasn't killed, I would probably have had my legs amputated if I was driving that thing.

I'm making my next daily driver a big huge heavy pickup truck with a winch bumper and a ball hitch on the front... That'll make people think twice about pulling out in front of me. And if not hey at least it'll be them and not me that takes the brunt of it next time. Might give me whip lash, but I don't think a Honda or something like that will do much damage to a 7000+ lbs truck.

If you get T-boned in a G-body you'll probably die. Ever seen the pic on here of the parked G-body that got T-boned by a Honda Civic or something?

my aunt got tee boned in a 01 grand prix back in 05 and lived

An 01 grand prix is a big difference compared to an 85 grand prix... Or any other G-body.

this isnt a dont buy a kia buy a g body thread!!! lol i know a 01 grand prix is much different im saying..... **** what im saying i guess buy a small kia, pack ur kids into it and pray some ******* hits you and then maybe some peoples tune might change. then you can say maybe if i was in a truck or decent vehicle they would be alive but guess what it already happend.

my dads cts has airbags in every direction like 10 of them and same for my moms 300c and the kia i dont remember if any airbag even poped out and if it did it was only 1 or 2. this is an 06 now people.

i have a plate in my elbow i crashed drunk as **** into a light pole and now it has never been the same and never will i cant extend it all way and this was in a dodge durango so i know what you people are saying but im sure if i was in that kia i would not be here this day and trust me i went thro the "if's" if my cousin never called me to go to the bar, if i wouldnt have mixed beer with ciroq with bacardi with tequila but when it happens it happens and that was a huge wake up call i was 18 and i havnt gotten drunk since, ive had a brew or two but i get these horrible feelings just smelling alcohol now. im friends with the bouncer and he said i tried to take the gum ball machine and dance with the bartenders and sh*t and they let me go no one tried to take my keys nothing. i dont even remember the crash i woke up in my bed with an arm swole like a baloon. i guess as drunk as i was i bailed, ran to a gas station and called a buddy for help.

i know i was stupid but its more common than you think. do you kno how many kids i know that showed up drunk to school, drink every friekin day and drive i shutter to think. expecially girls holy sh*t i know one that thinks she is so cute doin that sh*t. yeaahh hee hee hee i had a couple drinks hee hee hee

this is for you detroit people who go to the casino and ride michigan ave, heading west as soon as you pass west grand blvd look to ur right and you will notice a pole is missing, complements of yours truly lol

I pray that me and my family do not get Tboned in our 06 Sentra. Gotta love those 2 star crash ratings.

GBodys can at least be modified a bit to take a side impact but it's still dangerous as all get out.

Also, I have heard that if you do not brace for impact, you're less likely to get badly hurt or worse. But I'm no doctor, so I am not positive on whether that is true or not.

This is actually true. When your body is tensed up it isn't able to absorb as much impact as it would if it were relaxed. It's the same principle that makes cats land on their feet from impressive heights and without injury. Also drunk drivers avoid more injuries than sober people because of that same reason.

just be careful man

it hit a pile of RUBBER tires and folded like a pretsel

the hospoitol thought he mighta broke his pelvic bone, thankfully its just some bruised muscles.
hes like a brother to me more than a nephew were 2 years apart

i started reading 40% of pelvic breaks lead to death and sh*t and was panicking he looked fine but i guess you can bleed to death

Your nephew is damn lucky he wasn't on his way back after he'd got his weed......

Any reason for kicking that habit is a good one IMO.

Roger.

Well I can think of a lot of reasons to not buy a Kia lol.

my nephew was driving my sisters 2006 kia spectra and someone jumped into his lane from a liquor store and he swerved the car in the next lane picked up speed so he wouldnt make it and barely rear ended him, the ****in kia spun out and he hit a pole in a tire shop luckily there was a huge stack of tires next to the pole or he would have died he has bruises along his side. the whole half of the car is smashed in and this is from hitting tires that cushioned the pole. il post pics in a few. the car that hit him was full of some stupid *ss kids (in a hyundai....) and they took off then the police caught them brought them back to the scene and the driver started crying that he was in pain lmao. stupid nephew always going to detroit to buy some ****in weed!! anyways hes gonna be fine , had insurance whatever whatever but the point is stay out of those micky mouse *ss cars for the safety of urself and ur kids thank you

I don't understand what happened. Someone pulled out in front of him, and he swerved into the other lane.....but didn't make it over in time and he clipped the guy that pulled out in front of him?

Or when he swerved over, a different car clipped him causing him to spin out?

Curious how fast he was going when he hit the tires and then the pole. Then again, some may wonder why your sister let him borrow her car to go buy weed....

They picked the wrong car to go up against that Malibu. Those model Bel Airs had a crappy *ss frame that folded like an accordion. Again those X frames are just plain crap and it had almost no A Pillar. Now a GBody would fair better but I wouldn't want to be in that kind of accident without some modern upgrades to the structure. (maybe aftermarket airbags)
