Door Crashbar Weight?

I was wondering if anyone has removed the crash bars from their doors and how much they weighed. Anyone?

I agree about not taking them out of a street car. This project is turning into more of an all out drag car than I originally planned. The car is going to have a full cage also so I don't thing the door crash bars are really necessary at that point. Anyone have an actual weight?

if your going to take then out then why worry about the weight, you can weigh them after you remove them

Depending on how much they weigh, it might not be worth bothering with. I was figuring about 50# for the pair. If it's only 20#, I might skip it.

we race and every ounce counts.. plus that's the worst weight for us, sitting above and outside the wheels
