So the passenger side door glass will roll down fine, but rolling it back up is a chore.
It seems to come out of alignment with the window frame and if you keep cranking, becomes stuck until it won't go up any more. The forward portion of the window seems to sag to the point that if you grab the window and give it a tug in the backwards direction, it straightens up and begin rolling properly.
But, you have to nurse it this way to get it to go all the way up properly.
Any ideas on what it may be?

THERE SHOULD BE A LITTLE PLASTIC CLIP ON THE REAR VERTICAL EDGE OF THE GLASS, IT GOES THROUGH A SMALL HOLE IN THE BACK PORTION OF THE GLASS. REPLACE THAT AND YOU SHOULD BE GOOD

P.S. THE LEADING CAUSE OF THE FAILURE OF THESE THINGS IS A CHEWED UP/BRITTLE WINDOW RUBBER SO CHECK THAT TOO WHILE YOUR AT IT, NOW WOULD BE THE TIME TO REPLACE IT.

I assume youre talking two door here.
The glass is only connected at the bottom, so whatever issues you have up top are because of issues down below. I would remove the inner door panel and watch it while you raise it. At a minimum you should lube all mating surfaces. There are adjustments to take the glass in all directions, covered in the Fisher Body book for your year, although all years for our GBodies would be the same.

If a 2 door, then I would check to see if you lost one of the nylon rollers in the window tracks. While this could also be the problem with a 4 door, I would look for that little clip the previous poster referenced. I am unsure if GM was using it on G bodies ( I have never had a 4 door model) I do know that a few GM cars with framed door windows ( 2 door G, F and Y bodies are frameless) from the mid 80's that I have fixed have had them. I would also check the tracks and track felts to see if they are shot. I just replaced them on my 1998 Nissan Frontier and they made a world of difference. If they were shot on my 9 or 10 year old truck, they surely are shot on a 20+ year old car. Try Steele Rubber Products, Year One, etc.
