Guys, my 78 Salons door latch mechanism was destroyed from years of bad door bushings and constant slamming (not by me). I got a latch from an 82 Cutlass but comparing them, it looks like the rod mounting for the inside door handle is in a different spot. Am I going to need the rod from the 82 as well? I have not tried it yet because I've got it in base coat.
