Door stuck

Not quite sure which topic to put this under so here goes...
Just bought an 85Regal and the passenger door wont open. I've taken off the inside panel and checked all the linkages, locks, outside handle and inside handle and they're all doing what they're supposed to be. So if the catch isn't releasing and the door is closed what do you do? And yes, I've tried repeatedly pulling the handle and pushing/kicking it. Anyone know any tricks?

I'm not sure it's really a trick but I'd spray some good lube on it and let it sit for a while

Yeah, did that, so I'll try opening it again tommorrow. I was moreso wondering if there was any pin I needed to hit on the latch mechanism with a screwdriver or something like that.

I have the same problem but mine only gets stuck if I lock the passenger side door. I have tried everything but still cant fix it. I do eventually get it open. I just play with the linkage, push, pull and whatever and it finally opens. I've tried the lube. I actually used two cans at one point just to make sure. I have bought a new lock from the salvage yard but havent installed it yet. I am thinking its either that, door striker needs to be replaced or adjusted, door bushings, or a combo of some of them.
