Worked on my car to day, got the power steering pump and Alternator plodded the belts. Starter was installed also, remaining things to do include

1.Transmission lines
2. Put the 2 remaining torque convertor bolts in the fly wheel
3 Drive shaft and frame mounted shifter
4.. Radiator
5. Distributor


GBF on the olds intake which sensor is the engine temp sensor....I see one near the block casting and the intake,.

Not sure what you're asking so here goes;

The sensor in the front of the block if for the oil. Any of the front of the intake in the water ports can be used for the coolent temp.
 
This is exactly what I was looking for DoubleV. I only see one the connectors on my harness, do you think my wiring harness has been jacked?(i assume so). How do identify if the connector is for oil or coolant? Also can these be ran on a run of the cheap gauge lets say Pep boys or Autozone?

Sounds like your wires were butchered. The wire for the oil should be light brownish and the one for the temp should be green. I don't see why they wouldn't work with aftermarket gauges as long as you have the proper sensors ( not the ones used for idiot lights ), but I don't use aftermarket gauges so I don't really know anything about them.
