Stock th350 transmission's with the 7.5 rear measures 52.5 inches from center of U-Joint to Center of U-Joint...The 700r4 transmission is 3" longer then the th-350 (with 6" shaf) and the 2004r.......So you will need to cut the shaft so it measures 49.5 inches from center to center.....I did this swap, that's how I know 🙂)
 
but if it's simply close at ride height, 3in is too much.

Will a driveshaft to long cause a vibration?
