Easy Problem to Fix

I never heard about this before and came across some articles from police organisations. I would think it would be an easy fix but it has been a problem since 2012. :wtf:

I wonder what it's related to? My wife has a v6 2015 equinox and I always thought the car was excessively fummy. Maybe the direct injection?
 
We have them at work....there Fords.......what do you expect?

Not to mention I'm shore the rear body panel is not air tight. I wonder if the ones that have problems have ever been hit and repaired. Perhaps seam sealed wrong or no fome in the dividers
 
That maybe easy for you to figure out but that is because you are not an engineer...😀
