A couple months ago I bought a nice 79 Malibu wagon. Paint is decent and it only has a small rust hole behind the rear wheel on the drivers side. It's about fist sized. I can't find any wagon patch panels so I thought maybe I could use one for an El Camino? I know the wheelbase is different between the two cars, but I thought the difference was between the two wheels. Is the distance from the bumper to wheel opening close enough on these two models that i can use the "Elco "patch on the wagon?
