Look, man, when I suggested the Blue Sea products fuse panel, it wasn't so you could turn the GP into a freakin' boat!

Fast update 8/16 pulse output with 4 ft harness and ring terminals to connect to threaded #8-32 studs on existing electric speedo’s (Non- GPS speedo heads)
This suggests that any aftermarket electric speedo will work. Usually they count the pulses in a specific distance. I've used mile markers on the highway; do they have KM markers in Canadia? You stop next to one, engage the 'set/calibration' mode, drive to the next marker, and set it. The speedo counts the pulses given in that distance, and calibrates accordingly. A factory GM speedo is going to be calibrated to GM VSSes, so I don't know if it can be programmed to use this within reasonable cost effectivity.

I can use my Garmin to verify the speed. With no speedo I use my tach for my speed, in 3rd at 2,000 rpm I'm doing 60 kph (37 mph) for around the city, rural roads in 4th at 2,000 rpm I'm at 80kph (50 mph) and in 5th at 1850 rpm I'm doing 120 kph (75 mph) on the highway
