Why don't you start by having the battery load tested? It may have an internal short and even jumping it won't overcome that.

with headers I like to use a Ford style remote solenoid so the only wire going to the starter is the cable from the solenoid which is only live when you start the car.

I have the same problem. I a buddy of mine jump it the wrong way he crossed the wires negative to positive and positive to negative now I don't even get interior lights either?

Sounds like a bad battery. Turn headlights on and try to crank car. If they go real dim or out, low voltage. Hook up jumpers and do the same. If headlights stay nice and bright it is time for the volt meter. If they go out, battery or connections

Waiting on a multimeter for now everything dead no headlights no wipers dash lights nothing hopefully it's just the battery shorted

ok guys just went to look at it for the heck of it at night put the key in switch to on position and and nothing BUT the seatbelt dummy light is barely illuminated when I switch to off its goes completely dark sounds like the battery shorted and gave up the ghost huh?? Going to do a thorough check once I get the multimeter

Jumping through a shorted battery or boost charging it is a bad idea...seen them go boom...people don't usually think of a battery charger as a diagnostic tool, but a charger with manual control and a meter, not lights... will tell you a lot about a batteries condition...put a trickle charger on and watching it over a few hours can indicate if the battery is depleted, or shorted , which is indicated by a quickly bouncing back and forth needle, or healthy and just needs further charging...one thing with a depleted or frozen battery, especialy the latter is that the sides of the case will bulge out...not always a sign of a bad one, but seen a lot of bad batteries with bulged cases...
