Always wanted to do one of these, so here it go's.
I saved this current elky, my 3rd one about a year and a hlaf ago for $1500 bucks. Looked like this.
::discliamer:: All pics are taken on my phone, Sorry if the quality Sucks.
After $2200 bucks in total redoing the whole breaking system, all fluids and filters changed, Reg and insurance a lil spit and shine she was on the road looking like this a couple weeks later...
Wheels were the first upgrade, put those on right away.
Then wrapped all four in BFG G Force sport tires. 245/45/17 up front. 255/45/17 rear.
HID's
New Tail light's.... LED's Soon to come
Bought some seat's... Custom Made one off seat brakets from Wedge engineering in Long Beach.
Junk yard find, Jounce bars Made a BIG difference in stiffness and cornering.
One day project. Pulled the carpet, grinded the floor pan and some paint.
Front 1'' drop springs (600 inch pound ) and Bilstien shocks from Hotchkis, new upper lower ball joint's. Massive improvement, Great performance with a smooth ride even though it's a set rate springs.
After.. Tearing up Azusa Canyon
RPM Performer Air gap intake. Definitely Added power... Rebuilt the Edlebroke carb at the same time which was much needed. Skip White 65,000 Volt distributor 10.2 mm wires.. Those 3 upgrades add some sirius power... Also ripped the AC system out.
Underhood bars added even more stiffnes!
Edelbrock RPM performer Cam waiting to be put in. On top of my bros bandana design.
Rear frame brace, another massive improvement. Corners that I maxed out at before the brace were at 40 mph exit speed. After the brace same corner but closer to 50 mph.. And after the F41 front and rear sway bay, same corner but exit speed @ 56 mph, without pushing to the max!
One of the Latest upgrades, Nitto Invo tires... I love these tires!!! Highly recommend them!
Homie LowProElco hooked me up with Front F41 sway bar. plus my extra junk yard finings front, rear, jounce bars, underhood bars. So I painted it, bought new end links and mounting brackets from Hotchkis and installed it... And holy moly What a super mega difference!!! It's Starting to feel like it's on rails! Jerking the wheel hard for a 45 mph lane change... Doesn't even faze the Elky.
Stock VS F41
Still under construction, Much much more to come I'm not even close to being done... Thanks for looking at my Project. Drop a line Let me know what you think.
