Enduro bumper cover 'straightening'

Yes, Urethane. My brother and I "straightened" the bumper cover for his 78 Z28 using a heat gun. The passenger lower front fender extension had been bent and had held the cover in a bit of a bind for probably 17 years. Even after the cover had been off the car for two or three years, it held that bad shape. Be careful if you go this route and use an infrared thermometer. When we did it, it suddenly got real elastic and almost got away from us. We actually had to use some flexible filler to complete the repair. I like the panel bond/aluminum or composite idea.

I used a piece of 1/8" aluminum to fit the underside. And cut a 1 x 5 board to fit the top. Glued it on with some 2 part epoxy panel adhesive and it seems to have works. I can't say it's perfect, but the 1/2 bow is down to less than an 1/8", perhaps only a 1/16". I did heat it up with a heat gun to test fit the pieces and let it set at approx 140-150 degrees for an hour or so before I glued it on.

Thanks for the help.
