Hello gbody fam been away for a while and came across a little problem. I recently had my check engine light come on did the old paper clip scanner check and came back whith code error 15 coolant temperature sensor. I replaced the water neck sensor that has 2 wires and the one on the driver side block sensor . I disconnected the battery for a few minutes and still same code keeps coming back only code im getting any ideas ?

The sender unit in the head is for the gauge it has nothing to do with the computer command control system.

When you disconnect the battery and erase the computer memory does the code come back right away when you turn it back on or does it take time?

Before changing the 2 wire sensor, you should've bumped it up against this chart (chart is from a C4 site but the values are the same as an '87 SS FSM). If it specs out, it's not the sensor. 1 of 2 wires on the connector should have a +5v reference from the ECM. Other wire is ground.
