Anybody ever actually measured the engine crossmember to determine what gauge steel it is fabricated from?

It's not specified in either the shop manual or the MVMA specifications

I just checked the engine crossmember on my Bonneville. Looks like 10 gauge.

When I add, it is usually 1/8"... closest I have on hand.

    Thanks guys!

1/8" is only 1/64 thinner, so that should be good to go
