Pontiac 400 engine in a 1982 Chevy ss Monte Carlo Just wondering about this. Does anyone know if this motor will fit in this car? I might be able to get my hands on one of these motors but before i do i'd like to know how feasible it would be to try to put it in my 82monte. i have done engine swaps before and i'm fairly mechanically inclined, so just wondering if anyone on here would have any infofor me on this motor transplant.

Here is a similar build. The Pontiac 400 will fit the chassis but almost nothing will interchange from the SBC. You will need a BOP compatible trans, Pontiac mounts, Pontiac manifolds, Pontiac accessory drive, etc....
