Is the engine offset in G-body?

Asking while I’m cutting out the the front crossmember. The measurements indicate about .5-.75” to the passenger side??????!!

I remember using my carb stud to mark my hood on my Regal for where I was going to cut the round hole for the air cleaner and it ended up being offset to the passenger side instead of hitting the center divider on the hood and it was about a half inch or so.

Definitely off center to the passenger side, atleast an inch in mine after the LS swap. You can see it.

I noticed it my Malibu after I went from a 6 to a V8. Thought I put it in the wrong spot. My Grand Prix that came with a V8 is in the exact same spot.
