I run that Q-jet on a 509ci Caddy. I think they made it a tad rich on purpose as its safer. They don't want to see anyone lean out a motor damage it and then try to blame them. I believe they think from their perspective that its good business to add a little insurance room and protect people from themselves which also protects The Carb Shop.
