i have an 84 regal with a 327 bored 0.30 over with 202 heads and a cascar racing cam , the problem im having is yesterday i was driving home and it started hesitating and when i went to take off from a light it would sputter and want too stall , would this be fuel related or a spark issue , i was thinking more of a spark issue since it does it when the engine is under load. I plan on doing a cam change because i think its got too much cam for a street car and that could be causing the problems

What carburetor are you running :?: What's the size of your current camshaft :?: How long have you been driving the car with the engine :?:

Double check all vacuum hoses

Sounds like a fuel issue to me. Check yer fuel pressure. I would also make sure the carb didnt pick up some dirt under the needle valves. While the engine is runnin look down the primary and secondary sides of the carb making sure there is no fuel dripping from the boosters.

ive been driving the car about a year with the engine with no issues, its an edelbrock 600, and as far as i know the cam is a .510 lift , i plan on downgrading the cam eventually

I have a .474 intake lift, .510 exhaust lift. with no issues....I agree with the other it's a fuel related issue

ive been thinking id be better off swapping carbs for a holley 650 double pumper with mechanical secondaries. a guy i know who builds race engines says the carb may be causing the problems , alot of people swear the holley carbs are better then the "edeljunk" as he calls them
