Picked up branches and trimmed a few trees today down where the old house was. Only remembered to get a before shot of the last (worst) one.

Same one after...

Another apple...

And my Asian pear...

Planning to add a couple more fruit trees later in the spring. Lots more work to do down there.

After I burned out on work I put the windshield on the Indian and took it for a short test ride. Its still really cold out there.

Messed around on the hill some more this morning. When the wind blows out of the south I can break the tumbleweeds loose and let them blow against my north fence. I've been chipping away at this project when conditions are right for the last couple weeks.

I got almost all of it done today. The driveway was lined 6-8' wide on both sides and the hill just below the house was completely covered. The driveway is probably about 400' long. That's a lot of tumbleweeds.

When that was done I went down to the old yard and ran the mower around. Mainly just to mulch up the leaves and small sticks that drop off the willows.

There was a dead owl in the yard. He'll receive a warrior's funeral.

I finally got around to installing my tank bib. Two reasons for that. First, my dash has a pretty poorly done paint finish on it. Paint on everything else looks good. Second, the little pocket gives me a place to stash registration and insurance card. I've got a little storage pouch to attach to the inside of the windshield but not sure I like it or not.
I also decided to remove the rear seat. I've been kind of shopping for an old style spring seat but I think I'll just rock this for a while.

I wish we had green grass. Snow piled up as high as we can get it. What is not plowed is five feet deep. I want to move there, but my wife said no. What does an average house go for there?

Hard question to answer. Completely depends on what you're looking for.

The grass isn't green here yet. House prices depend on what you're looking for. Way out in the sticks 300k will get you a decent place. In closer to Boise it will get you a 3bd, 2 bath 1500sq/ft neighborhood type track house. It's not all roses either. In 4 months it will be drier than a popcorn fart and 100 degrees. Sometimes it snows a good amount in the valley but usually it's isolated to the mountains. We have a large variety of terrain, mountains around a large valley which is high desert. Can snow ski/snowmobile and jetski or dirt bike easily in the same day. World-class whitewater too.

Idaho sucks, don't come.

The wind always blows out of the south where I live. What happens is that they stack up against the fence and create a jump for the others. Strong enough winds just launch the rest over into the neighbor's pasture. I need to wait until its a windy night and just go pitch the remainder over the fence.

Turbolq4 is right. There is a pretty high housing demand right now so prices have risen dramatically over the last couple years. I bought my place about 2.5 years ago and could probably double my money if I'd just left it alone. The little farm my dad flipped last year made him about a 60% profit and he owned it for just over a year. The cheapest house in this search of my town is a $150k foreclosure. They go up to $2.2M. https://www.zillow.com/marsing-id/
My town is considered "out" so it's not really as hot as the stuff closer to Boise. I'm sure I'll eventually be overlooking subdivisions instead of corn fields.

Thanks. That is about twice as much as Iowa, not including Desmoine. That is kind of what I figured. Around here 100000 combined income is considered comfortable. If I would be making 100000 my self out there that would be a different story. Good to dream though!
