thats the way i was looking at alot of stuff about the car, its got the steering box, trans, and posi of a grand national basically 😀 afaik like u said there was no change in the transmission hot air or not and it has 12 quarts of fresh trans oil and the old oil looked very good still wasnt burnt

Wait what? I think it would take more than 400 horse unless you have like 4.11+ gears.

Stock camaros with ls1 make 330 hp and have comparable weight to a gbody. The new 5th gen has 420 Hp and weights 3900+. All you need are 3.42 or 3.73 and you're set.

what cam would i use in order to do this? what springs? what do i tell the machine shop to do to the heads?

would i be able to reuse my rollers on the cam
 
You can use the springs from "Alex's parts" and they are a direct fit. You would need roller 1.6 self aligning rockers. You can use the LT4 HotCam but there is another GM performance cam that is a bit more aggressive. Let me look for it.
