exhaust manifolds vs headers

I think the only real difference is the pin length on the front of the cam. Way too much lift for your heads though.

You could advertise your old turbo v6 motor on turbobuick, turbobuicks, gnttype.org or v8buick forums. All the guys looking to build or rebuild there 10 seconds cars need them. A new turbo v6 crank is like $900. They were faster & more fuel efficient than the sbc but they sure werent cheaper. lol  Unless you are keeping the motor with the car for a future rebuild or for resale purposes.

I loved the the Caddy 500 in the gbody it was the funnest car I ever owned. Not any faster than my GN but generally more fun at least in town. I had a hotted up 350 in a Cutty and it was no comparison the available instant low end head snapping front end lifting tire shredding torque of my 509.

To add what ARC said I would have a performance shop do the heads and don't forget what some refer to as a competition valve job as most automotive shops just slap things together and get them in general spec. The power is in the heads. It can make or break the same motor as far as what it makes & how well its runs. Well in conjunction cam setup. And later timing & carberator tuning.
