well i just got my pipes 2.5'' true duals w/ xpipe mounted under the car today. all in all it was easy, tailpipes were a bit of a pain though. i will tke pics for you on monday when i get back on it.

thanks guys. I still have to notch out my stock crossmember to allow the driver side clearance. I decided not to buy the g-force crossmember, I bought a welder so I just need to make the proper cuts and weld it up.

i just got my g-force crossmember for my cutlass its a nice peice and it twice as strong as the factory crossmeber .im putting headmen full length headers ,and a pypes duel exhust on my cutlass

well I still have to notch out my crossmember but I was under the car today and comparing the pictures of the monte carlo install pictures. I think the el camino drive shaft drops down lower because it is longer than the monte carlo one. Either way, thats the only option I have as far as clearance so I'm just going to run it as close as I can. Right now I think I'm going to just try the dual's separate since I probably have all the materials for that at the moment...i'll do the x pipe in the future. I really just need to get this on the road so I can work on my other car.
I've had the mufflers mounted directly off the headers and its been the most obnoxious cabin drone you can imagine.

yes thanks, Im aware of what that looks like...I dont have money for that and I believe there is more clearance for you non-el camino gbody owners.
what are you doing about your crossmember though?

how much longer is the elco driveshaft? is the extra length at the mid frame rails or the rear rails? even with an extra foot it won't change the angle or drop at the front very much. and from 83cut's pic there is at least an inch or 2 between the driveshaft and the x-pipe. and that's at full drop.

alright I tried to capture to show that right where the bulges come down from the incabin-behind seat area there is basically no room except to go under them and try to hug the driveshaft tunnel as close as i can without letting the driveshaft touch the exhaust.
