I went a little crazy on the 'bay and ended up with 3 sets of f41 jounce bars. I went to install one set today and noticed I ALREADY HAD THEM. Weird considering there was no rear sway bar and I have the smaller front sway bar. WHAT gives. Was there a set of smaller jounce bars for non-f41 optioned cars or could you get them solo as an option? Maybe Olds had them standard???

Also: I installed my f41 rear sway bar today (por-15'd and painted red) and WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I have the fender braces as well, may bother to use those.

I don't know why the jounce bars ever became part of the "F-41 package" talk because every Olds I've seen has them. My '87 had them and it was optioned with the F-41 suspension. However my brother's '81 Cutlass and my mom's '88 CSCB, both of which didn't have the F-41 suspension still had the jounce bars.

Yeah, no idea what's up with that... I'm thinking since Olds was the a "luxury" brand them came standard. Anybody need a set?

99% of G body cutlasses did come with the jounce bars but other g bodys you had to order the sport suspension to get the bars. I don't remeber ever seeing a Grand Prix with these bars but they had the other bar that ties the front frame horns together.

It's the two bars that run from the front frame horns to the engine crossmember.

You can see them in this picture:

Thank you for that I wasn't sure never herd that term (then again didn't know what to call those bars  )Of course now I want a set ...

My 1980 Has those. It was a base model Cutlass Supreme with the only option over base being A/C. It had its original AM radio only!

It also did not have a rear sway bar. So I am guessing there was no suspension upgrade bought by the granny that owned it. Those bars must have been standard on the Olds
