Factory 8.2 rear?

Has anyone ever seem one of these in a GBody? I have a line on a rear and the person doesn't know what it is, but it is in a 1985 Grand Prix. It does not have the 7.5 "fangs" and doesn't have the 8.5 horizontal bottomed triangles. It does look like an 8.2 though. I think I can measure the cover bolt spacing? 3.75" spacing for the cover bolts for an 8.5, and 3.25" for a 7.5, I think? If it is neither one, might be an 8.2"? Never heard anyone talk about the 8.2" in a GBody, but it definitely makes me think it is one.

Any suggestions? The rear is too corroded to see an axle code, BTW.

prob taken out of a chevelle and installed into a g body but they never came with one. The 8.2's were done in 71.

Did the rear diff cover have a buldge in it like the 12 bolts cuz alot of the 8.2"s did.

Not that I could see or remember........looked like an 8.5 but did not have the tell-tale corners on the bottom.

nopey...wasn't like that. Smooth cover, with nothing at the bottom corners...
