Ok guys,

I have searched but have not turning up anything. I have a factory 305 1985 aluminum intake manifold that is in great shape that is running on my car now. I'm trying to do a light restoration with a mild cam and heads with dual exhaust / hooker pro comps full length headers, and reworked 416 heads until my roller 383 is done. I believe the intake said GM CFM 31 and has my worked over NON-CCC quadrajet mounted on it now. Since I’m trying to do this rebuild on a very tight budget would it be worth it to get a performer intake manifold or do these manifolds work ok?

Hi...If youre looking for an intake, I think I have one from my 84 SS. I also have 2 sets of heads. My 84 heads I had completely rebuilt, but switched to aluminum heads 2k miles later, so theye just sitting around, and I have a setwith 76k miles on them. Let me know if youre interested in any of that. Take care.

Anyone know if these intake manifold flow ok or does a performer make a big difference. The cam I am getting only has a power range to 5200 rpm.

Follow the rule of thumb, if its not going on the new motor your building up on the stand than dont waste your money.

Thanks some great words of wisdom, Thank You... I guess if im only going to loose 5 or 10 hp I guess It realy does not matter.

the stock 305 ho intake is not that big of a difference from the preformer intake . just port the stock intake for more performance

Thanks,
Yeah, I just did not want to wast my money on something that was only going to slightly increase power. I guess gasket matching would be the best option. I head someone say something about matching it to a fel-pro gasket 1205 or 1206 but I don't know which one????
