Surprise me. Not picky at all.

DA source (example):

There is just the straight DA method.

Or do it the more detailed HPC way:
Step 1
Step 2

Reinforces the estimated 120mph on a good day remark by the guy at the track.

You need a Kestrel 4000. DA can vary a lot in a day.

Let's go with method 2. Faster is better.

The first link has historical (hourly) measurements of all the salient data... It makes the second method more accurate given the timeslip usually has a timestamp.

Important if anyone is disputing a 12 second pass for the #14 spot on the list using a DA conversion. Hopefully we all get quick enough to not need a conversion factor. 😉

Greetings Guys; Yes I miss the Bronze Brick & since my GuTOo has a broken engine, I Really miss the Brick! The heart of the question, 12.47 best, 2014. With freshened 406 #III. I did cut the A/C belt off! 12.61 turning the compressor so it made a difference. That was the only year I went to the strip with the A/C belt on. Many 12.5's during the 2008 & 11 trips. The #II 406 1996 - 2003 from memory did best of 12.68. Still a flat tappet cam at that point. The first 406 w/iron heads (the last set of iron heads I ported 1984) & a L-79 repo cam ran 12.87 best with a few 12.9's 1998-2002. All told it looks like I took it to the strip 6 or 7 times in that 40+ years with 3 different 406" SBC's usually making 3 or 4 passes. I would guess the body had around 25 total passes? But it was the Auto-X's that I was most proud of, Hot Rod Power Tour & Car Craft Nat's where I competed only 4 or 5 times over the years. Considering that 15% of the cars their are trailered dedicated Auto-X cars I was able to score in the top 1/3 at each event. Among the street driven Outomibiles I did very well. I had always hoped someone would sponsor a drag & Auto-X combo event with a 100 mile section of freeway Ole' Bob.

I've learned not to trust weather station data, out here in the hills it's pretty inconsistent where it comes from in relation to where you are.

I wonder how accurate the track data is? I'd bet its far better where you are.

What is your closest track?

Rimbey AB. Second is Castrol in edmonton. Castrol I would trust, YEG International Airport is right beside it.

Well pump in a date and see how it compares to your Weather Dominator machine doohickey.
