what about something like this but slightly modified so I get it to sit in the low pressure area ....

Fabricating radio bezels is actually a great idea, if you can price up a stock/used one for 40$ then i can fabricate you a custom one, with literally anything you'd like for 40$ or less. The radio bezels are simple, and very straightforward.

Guys i can literally fabricate anything you can possibly imagine for your car. If you want a set of fold out wings, and you've got the money I'll make it happen! Obviously I'm just making a point with that last statement lol, but please if you're seriously interested in some custom composite parts for your ride contact me!

pontiacgp, what is that part and specify what you mean by low pressure area?

Here's my information

If i don't answer leave a message with your name and number and I'll get back to you as soon as i can.

Again i can't stress this enough, usually when people think about aerospace grade composite(fiberglass,carbon..ext) parts they think Big money, and that's NOT the case! I promise if you just call me, we will work out a deal based around your budget.

I am modifying my hood slightly to give more of a low pressure area near the end of the hood at the base of the windshield...so I plan on cutting a section of the hood at the back center so I'll be getting some fresh air to the carb with a cold air box..

and allstar make them but they charge over $200 for those two pieces..they use them in all the late models, sportsman, limited late and a bunch of other classes

Ohh. Thought you were talking about a custom one Haha.

Sorry for not being able to get back to everyone, been bussy! Right now i'm working on a set of fenders for a 74 ova, drag car. So i'm occupied, but as soon as i finish theese, likley next week sometime i'll be ready to start taking orders from those who are seroius.

Alright being down the last two weeks has inspired me too go ahead and start some of the projects I've been talking about.

First i had to wax/ tape-off area's of the radio face plate to get it ready to apply the carbon.

This one is made of all carbonfiber, 40 weight weave, 2 plys (layers) which measured out to 10X7 "

I'll be adding flanges to the back to install USB/ 12V accessory (cig lighter), It will be on its own removable plate. Mounted with screws which will be counter sunk.

All faceplates after this will come with a removable plate installed over the A/C / heater controls. you'll be able to swap the plate for a plate with cutout/ mounts for the A/C / heater controls.

I'll upload more photos after the carbon cures all the way

I'm still interested in a cold air box but I want to have the EZ EFI system installed and I'm planning on doing something with the hood to increase the low pressure area at the base of the windshield so I need to do that before taking measurements... I'd like to see the fenders your doing when your finished. Some of the guys here run nova, concours and venturas in the circle track and the rules are getting a little more flexible with bodies. We have complete glass bodies now in camaro, mustang and charger that are permitted. The price of them are about 2,200.

For a dirt track car? Fiberglass seems like a waste. I know up here we mostly run aluminum or just hacked up stock. Doghollow speedway, in PA. Aluminum is just easier to fix when it gets dinged up, fiberglass isn't a stretch to fix either but it's far less durable for dirt track use man.

I could make you panels though, definitely not a whole body haha, i don't have that kind've work space or know how. I've never considered a project that big, it would take allot of material.

The fenders for the nova where for a street /strip car. I can get some pictures but they're on it already, and painted.

I'm about to upload some more pictures, the base for my radio face plate is done, tomorrow i'm going to smooth sand the face/ edges and stiffen it up some more with more carbon on the back around the edges. Then start cutting out for the radio/ accessories.

I learned from the headache of sourcing 6" tubing for this
DSC02888.jpg

that there's a demand for a similar box, but with 4" plenum... Everyone seems to only make dual snorkels

I try not to think of the money I spent on it... :blam:
