well i decided to to try to fiberglass my own speaker pods on my doors. i watched a lot of youtube videos. lol
here is my progress, let me know what you think, or any ideas

I see you are doing a 4 door or wagon, I have fiberglass lowers I fabricated a while back for the fronts, I have yet to do the rears. No bad.

I would have made the "pod" to fill in the whole lower area where the carpet would go. Just so it flows nicer, and angled it up a forward, or backwards, for better sound distribution, and so it isn't sticking out so far as to have the rear passenger kick the crap out of it.

My two cents, lol, but good job like I said. Are you going to do the fronts too? Take some pics of them installed. Not a great deal of members post anything car audio related.

i am doing a wagon. i actually was going to do the whole area where the carpet is, but i didnt know what to do with it? any ideas?

I haven't gotten to mine yet, I figured I would take the rings for my seperates, and just have fun with some tape till I get a look that is nice and fits.

My front lower panels are completely fiberglass.

Qwik, they look good! I have a similar though for my rears. Going up to the "seam/fake threads", and just making the whole lower half a fiberglass pod of sorts. I also have my J/L XR-650 separates with x-over to all go in there.

Rob, there are a few forums dedicated to fiberglass and techniques. There are many different ways to do it.

Here is one of my fronts, the whole lower panel is fiberglass. I used a worn out factory lowers as a buck to make the panels from. I am using all the factory style clips and screw locations. My 3 way front separates were a bit to busy to make just a lower pod and good good sound staging. I may end up re positioning the tweeters in the Buick though.
