Nice job, looks great. I didn't walk the entire Rod Run strip this year, so I missed your car.

What color blue did you use?
Thanks alot.I didn't actually find a good spot so i just cruised the strip a couple times then played put put etc..The color is Chrysler Steel blue. I see alot of pt cruisers wearing it,some mini vans etc.

Thanks man. I really like the way it looks. I like the way it contours to the bumper. I had the El Camino air dam up front, but I wanted to change the look. Besides, it looks too much like an add-on. I have the original type deflector, but I think it needs something larger under there.
10 ga steel must have required a bending break. I like it.
Thanks again.I didnt use a break. The metal was scrap in 6 ft lengths.i welded it in the center, bolted it in the center, used a body hammer to bump it in the corners to fit the bumper..smoothed it and made it hang down 2.5 inches to make up the difference where i raised the bumper so that it filled that gap from the raised bumper,to the fender hanging lower due to that.I kept the original shorty valance behind it also.Really basic.PLus this one i made,my oil cooler sits in behind it and the bumper hiding it

It does seem to fill in the void below the bumper. After I cut, sectioned. and raised mine, I also noticed that there was a lot of useless space under the bumper. It seemed more exaggerated. :? ..plus I was use to the air dam filling in that area.
I suppose lowering the car 2" would help in that respect.
Would you be able to post a pic of it when you get a spare moment?
So your oil cooler sits behind the deflector. It certainly must get a good flow of cooling air.

Actually it's the power steering cooler. There wasn't room without hacking the rad support so i put the hoses( wrapped in hose plastic wrap) under the rad support, over the frame, and out behind the bumper bolted to the rad support.

I drove the wagon 100 miles one way to Somerset summer cruise in yesterday and drove normal..no hot rodding(grrr it sounds so good nailing it!)...got 19 mpg with ac on 😀

I really like the color good job, I can't wait to have some big money to put my 5.3 to use after I'm done overhaulin my hurst from the bottom up.

THANKS ! its nice to get good feedback when you love and put so many hours in something.it gets tiring hearing people say they dont like it!
