Well got seats and carpet out today. I expected bad not as bad as I found. For as rust free as the entire rest of the car is the floor pans are gone. The bolt flange on one of the seat tracks was rusted off. It's like it sat for 18 years with a window cracked and flooded with water. New goodMark pans are ordered from summit but won't ship till Nov 6.
The strangest thing that gets me is the homemade heater that was in it obviously leaked. The carpet under the glove box was still wet. But that is the only section of floor not rusted

New floor pans are in. Some small patch welding still to go. Spot welded top and bottom. Driver's seat set in and front inner mount placed and welded. Everything came early. It might get closed up before winter yet

Got the dash dropped in in preparedness for my non AC heater install and found another big mouse nestade up of my firewall insulation. The factory defrost vents were in the car that had to come out, but was missing the piece that comes up to the two center vents. And the hole had been taped up. I don't know why the guy that had it would have done that. Some of my tabs that stick out that the cluster surround bolt to were broken as well. .

Did you replace the rear side windows are are those the same ones with the vinyl top

I haven't changed them yet but I have a the hard top windows to put in eventually

What is the difference?

Hardtop Rear windows haveThicker rubber around the outside that fills the gap where the vinyl top wrapped in. Glass and chrome are the same.. local bodyshop told me they use to not change them and fill channel with black urethane on budget jobs. But. I have them so will use them eventually.
