My plan as well after reading this. Unfortunately some converter and all metal will probably be needed under my top.
I agree and very cool Driven. I wish they made them for the Olds V8. Edelbrock didn't even remake the curved script finned covers for the Olds, they did for AMC and Pontiac.
Transmission gears came in today. I am changing from a blueish grey 10 tooth drive gear to a red 7 tooth drive gear. The kit came with a new steel bullet to hold the driven gear and 5 driven gears to pick from. It was a very simple change. Remove the tailshaft. Turn it so the gears lock clip is facing up. Depress the tab down and slide gear off. When reinstalling make Shure the two little lips of the clip are out and it's done. Clean o ring on housing and put back together.

I took advantage of having 60 degrees in January and brought the car back from storage (pulled with a garden tractor lol) and put the engine and transmission in. Hooked up the driveshaft and installed the headers.. took it back to storage cause 4" of snow predicted unfortunately.
well with a rifle and a pistol on the wall..............it's telling me not to help myself to your beer fridge
