So in the introduction I showed a couple of pics of my first car . 1984 Cutlass. It had been set up for drag racing with frame notch, Ford nine inch. I sold it around 1999 . I need to fix floorpans from the cobbled up heater set up leaking water every time it rains and does anybody have experience with cloth dye. The front seats have faded from sitting in the sun all these years

I had a chance to get it back this weekend. The guy wants the Ford nine inch his wheels and motor. I am picking up a stock rear end from a Monte ss tomorrow. But my goal is to get rolling and water tight before winter. I'm on the look out for a complete heat only system and front inner fenderwells.

So far I have aquired a 350 Chevy engine, rims, and a stock Monte Carlo ss rear end with 3.42 gears but needing a Yoke. Unfortunately I found that Monte Carlo inner fenders mount different than Cutlass fenders so I'm still looking for those. The quest continues

I got the vinyl top off completely. It was really clean other than the factory Bondo popping out of the seam. The seams in front of the rear windows had some surface level rust but nothing to be concerned about. Got the cobbled up homemade heater out . Next step is to pull interior and see how bad the floor is. I know for sure l.s. rear need a pan installed

That car should win a award for not being rusty and so clean under the vinyl roof! I happy for you.
