hi im new to these forums and im 19 years old and love montes regals and cutties ive had a v6 carb cutlass, a 350 monte and many other old schools but now as of a week ago i invested in a t type regal with t tops. ive never had a turbo car and im not used to fuel injection.

i bought the car off a older guy and all i knew is the motor didnt knock and the trans was smooth. so i bought it for 1800 dollars and i get it home fix a couple of vacumm leaks and cracked lines but one i plugged and i noticed theres like two things for tubes to be connected to on the mass airflow sensor was wondering maybe its suppost to run to that. it cuts off after i drive it for along time too like when im idle and then begin to accelerate and if i try to stab it, it like cant take all the power hard to explain im not really a mechanic just a kid who loves cars.

i just know it should at least be able to burn a little rubber when i want, anyways i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what could be wrong and maybe like some kind of way to show me how those lines on the MAF sensor are suppost to be connected i didnt think a car could run without it being connected right.

A t-type form 1800 sounds like a good deal,I went a looked at on the other day and the guy wanted $3800 with no engine or trans,i wanted to tell him thats to much for a buick regal but i didnt wanna be rude, please post pics when you can of the car ans maf

You should go to gnttype.org and go through the spring cleaning that is listed there. You want to make sure there is no issues with the car before you start to get on it hard. Rebuilding the 3.8 is not cheap. You could also try turbobuick.com for some help. I would stay out of the boost untill all the issues are fixed or you are going to lift a head or burn a hole in a piston. Good luck with the car.

thats where i plugged it and the maf the interior is clean and the tee tops dont leak. the guy thought it needed ball joints it was pulling to the right hard, turned out to be the oldest tires i ever seen on a car had like inner tubes inside of them and they were poped on the inside now i can float on the free way without touching the wheel

i think he coulda charged me whatever when i seen the digital dash and it still works
