First time on the drag strip and I made 11.95! From here I need to do a lot of tuning, backfires on deceleration, maybe timing, carb tuning but I'm pretty satisfied so far.

Sorry for the delay, the engine is a Pontiac 461, edelbrock 72cc heads, cam is comp 288r, 1.65 alum rockers, 1050 Dominator, victor intake, Moroso vac pump, mad dog headers, stock th400 Ford 9in spooled and stripped interior. The car is a 78 Grand Am.

I like that motor. What's up with the bracket on the driver side head? What kind of motor mounts you running?

That's a torque strap . The engine was moving around too much.I have stock rubber mounts that I didn't have time to replace with solid mounts. Temporary.

I still have a few things to do some things I can do now and some will have to wait till I plant more money trees:
- I have to re-route the throttle cable
(Not giving enough movement)
- timing still isn't right
- solid motor mounts
- trans brake (race transmission)
- maybe switch out springs in distrib
- check pinion angle
- anti roll bar
- tuning suspension
- driving style etc
Once I get the setup tuned to perfection that's when I have to look at lightening some more and adding more hp,(nitrous) but that's prolly next year.
