Slow start this year, our local reservoir, nothing. Holidays this week and another 20+ fish day.
I have for 28 years😉. We kept 3 of the 4 Walleye, which taste great. The big ones are Northern Pike, taste great as well but the Y bones waste a lot of meat. My Wife caught a 41" last year, around 30 pounds! There have been Pike around the 40 pound mark caught, Walleye world ice fishing record at nearly 19 pounds was caught in this reservoir. Also 100 pound Lake Sturgeon lurking around. We also caught a common sucker,🤮 not eating that. Also Cisco, Red Horse Suckers and Sauger as well. Going to Fishing Lake tomorrow, found a killer spot, 50 a day, caught a 26" Walleye there last year. Saskatchewan record Northern Pike was caught there 39.9 pounds. Hopefully Diefenbaker Lake, later this week. The World Record Burbot at over 25 pounds and numerous Rainbow Trout, including the World Record at and over 40 pounds caught there.Fishing in a dress. Hold on tight to her!
