We use Revolution. seems to work. i have 3 dogs and an indoor/outdoor cat. cat out all night and sleeps all day, like me when I was 19.

anyway, we also have 11 free range chickens, so they do a great job keeping my 1.25 acres flea and tick, and every other insect free.

Our dog is on Trifexis. We've had her for 3+ years. Never seen a flea. I thought we (humans) had that beat.

O.K. I got this...I had 4 dogs, down to two. We live on a wooded lot. FLEA CITY. We were lost until I discovered two things that got rid of them. Works on ticks also. Google, Nitenpyram. And also, Lufenuron....These two items must be used together to break the cycle. Lufenuron is a monthly. The Nitenpyram can be given daily with no harm to the animal. The Nitenpyram is the same thing as Capstar. Capstar is what your vet would use for an instant, complete flea kill, and last for 24hrs. I buy these meds on Fleabay(pun intended)for a very reasonable cost. Do it and thank me later.

I've used Nitenpyram pills with this current flea issue & worked great. It was just after we used up the pack they came back. I'll look up Lufenuron.

Lufenuron is the key, it kills the eggs, and makes flea parent sterile...Unfortunate for me though, one of my dogs developed an allergy to them. So only one dog get the two shot meds.
I just got a refill of 100 Nitenpyram for 25 dollars. It last me 6-8 months, so pretty cheap flea killer.

OK, this is for the pet parents. We have been fighting an unforgiving group of fleas that keep going after the dog. The sprays, collars, shampoos, & Dawn dish soap (most effective but he can't live with a coating of it on him.) I used the pills & worked but I don't want to spend $40 every six days. The house end of this seems to be OK, the yard needs another spay but the on & off rain gives a small window. I thought the dog was getting under control but today he had almost a dozen when I combed him out as we have been after every trip outside. I'm ready to scorch the grass, rip up the little carpeting we have, & wrap the furniture in plastic. We been good until this year.

my flea pills and heart worm pills are 20.00 for one dog and last for a month. been using them for about 10 years and they work great

So far/so good we may have them under control. Now I have to deal with this damn rain so I can mow & spray the yard again. Can't keep up up with this over water yard to keep the grass under control.

i dont have dogs any more. but my kid used to put this powder on ours dogs and it worked. he said you put it on your pet.and it actually is like razor blades for the flees and would cut them in half once that came in contact with it . if you want to know what it is i will ask my son. it dont hurt the dogs or cats at all and is safe for them.
