So i was installing transgo reprogramming kit in my 200-4r, i pulled the trans out and had it upside down. I finished up with valvebody and just had to put in check balls and reinstall the valve body. So im putting all the check balls in the correct location on the case and FML i dropped the last one in the rear of trans :blam: I havnt tried flipping it upside down as im scared it will go behind something and be stuck.. Any ideas on getting it out without disassembling the trans??

Going to buy a telescoping magnet thing and see if I can fish it out but any other input is greatly appreciated

The small magnets with the flexible wand work well in these situations. Not the springy style but the one that stays where you bend it. I had to fish pieces of an exploded timing chain tensioner out of a Nissan VQ30DE during a water pump replacement. It would have turned a 3 hour job into a 20 hour job if I couldn't get all the pieces out. The flexible style goes around corners. The telescoping type that looks like an old radio antenna only works well if you can see the piece you're trying to retrieve.

just ordered one of those, definitely something i need to add to my tool box..in the meantime i found a telescoping one at autozone for $2 and was able to fish it out thankfully...i just turned the trans on it side carefully and kept poking around in there, luckily the magnet was strong enough to be able to bring it up...thanks!
