The Canadian dollar is down to 73 cents US. I am trying to stimulate the economy up here so if you find something on this side of the border buy it, your dollar will go 30% further up here. Please buy it cause I need to get the Canadian dollar par with your so I can buy stuff I need.....thank you and we can go back to the regular programming now....🙂

Rktpwrd, it's hurting you too huh.....
Most definitely!
🙁
It's put a real crimp in the "to do" plans when almost everything I'm eyeing has to come from The States.
🙁

Me too, I haven't ordered a part from the US this year. There are a few things I want to get from UMI but with the exchange I held off

Same here.
I'm looking ahead a bit to getting on my front bumper and need to order new front marker/signal light housings. But with the exchange rate, it's pretty tough to justify right now. I hope things start to turn around soon....
I've been contemplating selling off some of my unused G parts in US pricing just to help gather some capital for the needed parts...!!
😱

You're in O.D. Showman's part of the country. He usually has access to a good selection of parts.
That he does, and he's proven to be a valuable asset on more than one occasion, but I'm looking to buy new on a few things, as well as possibly some specialty items like LED kits etc.
What are things like in your local economy there in Ontario Steve?
It's really scary here in Alberta with so much of our industry directly dependent on the price of oil and the energy industry.
Being a mobile compressor service tech, I really see it. A lot of shops are down to skeleton crews with only 3 or 4 people... and those are the ones that haven't gone under entirely or moved.
There's a lot of people here walking the streets looking for work.
Scary sh*t.

I've picked up some stuff recently, but its all come from Canada. I don't even want to think about getting anything from the States, until our dollar improves.

Looks like no one is spending much money up there either. As much as I would love to I am not splurging as much anymore.

Ever since I got laid off a few years ago I had to hit my savings to pay bills and have not made the money I used to make.

You gotta get the UK to shop in Canada like they did here when the dollar bottomed out. Those guys came here with crates lol.

At the gm nationals this past summer I met some Australians that knew a few people that came here to buy cars because the dollar hit too.

It's bad here too, alot of manufacturing is gone so alot of jobs were lost. Ontario use to have enough money to help out other provinces but now it is the other way around
