I can't be the only one who thinks these companies are doing a poor job of communicating in this Forum. Only (1) sponsor has even posted anything this whole year, and that was months ago.

How about some:
- New product information
- Testimonials
- Build threads
- Sale dates
- Discount codes
- Hello we are here for you. Call us with your needs.

Am I asking too much? You want our money, right??? 🤷‍♂️

Agree 100%. I just checked on the old
G Body Pro Touring Forged Tall Performance Spindles for the G-Body

thread to see if Mac/Southside Machine Perf ever acknowledged/responded to my last statement which wound up being the final post of that thread.

I would think someone from these companies has a similar background as us & reads about what others are up to. Seems like these community forums are a great opportunity to help others AND promote your products vs just offering an occasional X% sale.

The more we know about the products & the people behind them the more likely we are to spend the $$ w/them. Based on that thread alone, I was seriously considering using their spindle/products.

I agree it would be nice to have some reps on board
There are parts I would have bought already if I had someone to help guide me or make suggestions
As long as they don’t sound like half the guys on YouTube ( I can’t understand that “street” English)

To be honest I'm surprised you see the number of sponsors you do given the decline in boards in general.

In order to have the kind of things you contemplate make sense, economically, you need a couple things to happen.

Net increased profit (increased sales minus production costs), minus the salary and benefits it costs to have someone knowledgeable monitor the boards and respond to threads, needs to have enough upside to cover the risks of loss if things don't pan out.

And the PR hit from starting board coverage then canceling it when it is a net loss economically is a further risk.

Companies are on the hook for rogue employees going on voluntarily and giving bad advice... both pr and financially from a liability and wage and hour standpoint.

And the owner who spends his workday fielding calls needs some downtime from going on boards too and doing the same thing in their free time.

Then consider the various digital footprints. Only so much resources to go around so you maximize effort and return

^^^ This response reminds me of a business owner who was scared to take a risk, or explore the company's next paradigm shift. Training, marketing, and engaging potential customers are all core business values. Along with commitment, frugality, and customer obsession. Any company owner should expect to put in the extra work required to grow their business. If they want marketshare, they better be willing to do what it takes to get it.

I'll reference a company who is not a sponsor on this forum, as to not upset anybody. That company is GBody Parts. If they can't provide a phone number and answer a couple questions... guess what? I'll give my hard earned money to somebody who cares enough to pick up the phone and discuss what they have to offer.

No engagement = No sale = Zero net profit

Gbp used to sponsor forums.

Also, forums are a dying breed that many companies are pulling away from. Laziness through facepage and youtube are where the future revenue drivers really sits, as much as I hate them personally.

Part of the difference between a business succeeding and failing isn't capturing the last 1-of-100 customers at an outsized cost or with an opportunity cost that requires you to forfeit better ROI options.

There's a reason newspaper advertising isn't what it used to be too.

You do understand the demographics of this board......right? The typical gbodyforum member drives $2k 3.8 powered 4 door buick regal, works a blue collar job, and has a $50/month parts budget.

Contrast that with Vette owners, new Camaro/Challenger/Mustang owners, tri-5 owners, muscle car era, diesel truck guys.......hell anybody but us. These are bankers, accountants, lawyers that wouldn't think twice about dropping $2k on new exhaust or $4k on wheels/tires/lift kit. If you were a vendor.....where would you concentrate your resources?

What I was talking about doesn't require a dedicated person getting paid a wage to sit in front of a computer for extended periods to possibly interact w/potential customers.

I visit boards because I'm a car guy. I share points of my builds & look to see what my peers are up to. If I worked for a suspension company or a parts supplier I would be interacting w/people interested in the same stuff I am & I might even be able to help them.

I do this on my own to educate myself & it's done for free.

Really? If the typical member drives a 4 door, I must have missed the "More Door" subsection on this forum for the past 8 years. Even the blue collar guy who has $50 bucks to spend, is just as important to any business, as the guy who has $500, or $5000 to spend. EVERY supporting vendor on this site does NOT cater to the Vette, Tri-5, or diesel truck owner. To answer your question... If "I" were to sponsor a forum, "I" would engage my potential customers with my knowledge, customer service, and product lines. "I" would provide "YOU" with a solution to your needs & wants.
