I would think the toughest thing to find for that car is the original seat material. The car seems fairly straight. Hope the floors are good. And frame. Not the end of the world if not because those can be found/fixed, but that's going to be a ton of work no matter what. And it's 1 of 346? How much will it be worth when you pump 25K into it fixing it back up to its former glory? 25K? Maybe even not that much.

You have to want to save it because it means something more than just a cool old car that needs saving.
I saw W-30 on the front fender of the very first photo. If I have read some of my Hot Rod magazines correctly, fully restored that car could be worth way more than 25Gs

1980 442, appears to be all original and unmolested. Solid foundation for a build providing the floors and frame are good.
Nice find.
I thought 81 was the first year for dual headlights?

Let's first assume for a minute that every one of these Hot Rod type magazines know WTF they're talking about when it comes to G-body values, which they don't 99% of the time. How much do you think it would cost to fully restore that car? That was the entire point. It would be a great project car, but there needs to be a good reason to restore it BESIDES trying to fix and flip. In the condition that we can see on the car here, you're likely going to be pushing $25K restoring it to the level it needs to be to restore it properly. There's a lot of low-mile survivor cars that don't push $25K in price. It's not that you couldn't make money fixing up a G-body. You buy a nice car for 5K and flip it for $6500 for example. Yeah, you made money, but you really didn't make any real money off that bad boy.

I still maintain NOBODY restores G-bodies for the potential $$ to be made and unless the market flips on its head for some reason, you cannot convince me otherwise.

If that's your mindset, you picked the wrong hobby.

W30 on an '80 doesn't have quuuiiittte the same meaning as it does on a '70

HotRod magazine....little relevance to the average guy since the "van" days
